What is a notary?
A notary is a qualified lawyer primarily dealing with documents to be used in foreign jurisdictions. They are appointed by the Court of Faculties of the Archbishop of Canterbury and are regulated by the Master of the Faculties.
Just like solicitors, there are rules and regulations that apply to notaries. They must be fully insured for both professional negligence and fidelity for the protection of their clients and those relying on their services. They must comply with stringent practice rules and regulations relating to finances, conduct and discipline. Notaries have to renew their practising certificates annually and have to demonstrate ongoing compliance with the rules.
Who am I?
I am a qualified solicitor and partner in one of the largest law practices in Hertfordshire. My primary area of expertise is commercial and residential property.
I carry out my notary public services throughout North London and Hertfordshire.
I qualified as a notary public in 2020.
